sparkNet focuses on creating sites that are custom-molded to the business they represent. That concept is a cornerstone of our design process.

Initial Outline
This process is usually done over e-mail or by phone. We'll take your ideas of how you feel the site should be organized, do some competitive analysis and see how other sites in your market are organized, and come up with a coherent, yet basic site map.

Design Guidelines & Standards
From the very outset, both designer and client must be thinking along the same lines in terms of how the site is to be presented. In the initial conversations that generate the organizational map above, we'll also ask you for a list of sites that you like the look and feel of, and sites that you don't like the look and feel of. We'll also ask you if you have any initial ideas for us to incorporate.

Layout & Design
Using the knowledge gained from your site likes, dislikes, and initial ideas, we'll create a draft design for your approval. Changes can go back and forth here until both sides are happy with the design. Once both sides agree, the design is complete.

Development
The design is then turned into a skeleton site - using the template with either filler or no content. Our staff will take this time to tweak the template and its exported graphics to ensure high quality and small file sizes, as well as compatibility with industry standards such as XHTML and CSS. As you compile the content and submit it to us, we'll "fill in the blanks" and move towards having a complete site.

Quality Control & Compatibility
Once the site is "complete", we'll begin running it through our quality control process - not only proofing all of the content and graphics, but also ensuring that the site functions as intended on popular browsers for both PC and Mac platforms.

Launch
This step involves moving the site to your hosting account (if we haven't been using it for development), again ensuring that all portions of the site are functioning as intended, and remove any "under construction" or other blocks that have been put in place.

Marketing
Having a great website will not do you any good unless people know about it. If desired, we'll design an interactive marketing effort that can encompass major search engines, your existing corporate image and stationery, press releases, web directories, and other avenues.
