 The Gilbert M. Grosvenor Center for Geographic Education was established with the mission to encourage research and provide leadership in the movement to increase the quality of geographic education. To further that mission, the Center co-sponsored the 2007 Congress for the Geography in the Americas: Collaboration on Research and Education in La Serena, Chile. sparkNet assisted the GCGE with rapid deployment of an informational site about the Congress based on materials provided by the GCGE.
