 Citizens for San Marcos First, a political action group, was formed to educate San Marcos CISD residents and voters on the truth behind the May 2006 Austin Community College annexation election. Following an open records request and analysis of the petition that enabled the election to be called, many cases of alleged voter fraud were found. CFSMF members wanted to disseminate the petition to the general public as quickly as possible, enabling them to check to see if their names were included on the petition, and if their name and signature was fraudulently included, to streamline the process of filing an affidavit with the Hays County elections office. sparkNet took care of scanning in the entire 319-page petition, and developed an application that allows users to view cropped thumbnail images of the petition pages, as well as larger-sized images that can be printed out. Working with another designer, the application was blended into the organization's existing site. The site recorded more than 28,000 pageviews in its first 48 hours of operation. 0 Go there now.
